This course covers the concept and understanding of ESG, and the ESG risk management applications across different sectors. Participants will understand what ESG is and its relevance to our lives, the role of government in promoting ESG Initiatives, and the role of financial institutions and enterprises in implementing ESG.
At the end of this course, you will be able to:
- Understand what ESG covers and its relevance to our daily lives
- Understand how climate change has led to increasing environmental threats and biodiversity risk
- Appreciate social risk, including diversity and inclusion, and how it affects the way we treat employees in the workplace
- Understand the issues of ethics and fiduciary duties of the board and senior management in providing good governance to address ESG challenges
- Discuss the role of governments and enterprises in addressing ESG, especially in the post-covid environment
- Discuss how companies can integrate ESG into the Enterprise Risk Management framework
- Apply suitable qualitative and quantitative tools to address ESG issues
- Discuss ESG applications in identification, quantification, mitigation, reporting and disclosure with reference to ISO14064-1:2018 Standard
- Illustrate ESG applications with a number of practical case studies
